Children’s pictures can be a problem for parents as they seem to arrive on an almost daily basis. The proud artists want to see their work appreciated but how to do it without turning the house into a playschool? One starting point is to take their favourite picture and then to take the framing seriously using the same criteria as for “real” art.
However the brief for this bear was to “make it fun”. Daddy came up with the parachute theme so the poor bear was duly suspended from ribbons set into the fillet inside a pale blue lined shadow-box frame swaying gently when the frame is rocked.
